Classes for 2-3 Year Olds

It’s never too early to expose your children to the vital, artistic creative process!

Children ages 2-3 will enjoy learning about color through mixing with finger paint and other mediums. Fine motor skills are reinforced with beading and weaving. Children will paint, use markers, pencils, pens, pastels and clay. Artists such as Monet and Calder are presented in way that is fun, creative and age appropriate..

Classes are offered Monday – Thursday 9:30-10:15 or 11:00-11:45. You pick the day and time, once a week for the session. Your child must be accompanied with a parent or caregiver.

Maximum class size is 5 students, minimum class size is 4 students.

Classes for 4-8 Year Olds

Build your child’s self-confidence and appreciation for art through this joyful, creative experience!

Children ages 4-8 will learn about mediums such as watercolor, pastel, clay, charcoal, and paint, with proper brush stroke and grip encouraged. Children will explore the great artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Gerhard Richter, Jackson Pollock, Gustav Klimt and Vincent Van Gogh.

My art history training, 20 year art gallery experience, and artistic ability give me great tools to teach your children a fully well-rounded approach to the visual arts.

Classes are offered Monday – Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm. You pick the day, once a week for the session

Maximum class size is 12 students, minimum class size is 4 students. Please note your child must be 4 to enroll.

Classes for 8-12 Year Olds

The 8-12 year old classes will explore different genres such as folk art/outsider art, abstract artists, landscape and portrait artists. This class teaches perspective, shading and color hues.

Guest artists will come and share their art, what goes into their creative process and explain how they make their art. Gold leaf expert Bill Adair, of Gold Leaf Studios will come and teach us how to gold leaf a frame (each child will gold leaf their own frame).

We will talk about the artistic creative process and how artists are able to problem solve, share their thoughts, feelings and emotions as well as teaching us to "think outside of the box".

Great next level art class for children who are particularly interested in making art.
